Lorenzo Marzano is an analyst at Belmana. He has conducted counterfactual impact evaluation particularly in innovation policies. He has focused on patent data to assess research quality as well as conducting a spatial and sectoral analysis.

He joined Belmana after working as a research assistant for the Cambridge Gender Initiative at the University of Cambridge where he contributed to the paper “The Unequal Effects of COVID-19 on Economists’ Research Productivity.” Lorenzo holds an MPhil in Economic Research and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, King’s College.
